Detailed description is La Fede Brand Products Born and raised in Santo Mauro Sicily, Vincenzo Farinella immigrated to America in the early 1900's.
It was in the summer of 1936 when Vincenzo decided to start importing San Marzano Tomatoes to fill the demands of the many italian imigrants who had settled in northern NJ.
He carefully selected a product that not only would provide superior quality, he wanted a brand that would stand out for years.

In 1979 the Farinella's decided to sell their family business to three brothers who owned and operated Cannillo's Italian Food Center, a prominent retail outlet store, located in West New York NJ.
Well, it didn't take long for the young Cannillo brothers Savino, Emilio and Giuseppe to realize, that retail stores all over NJ were looking for the La Fede name.
So they decided to complete the La Fede line by adding to it pickled peppers, marinated eggplants, lupini beans, olive oils and more.
They built up their distribution center, until La Fede became a household brand name in every italian store they served.
As time went on they decided to employ their sons.
Paul, Mike and Jim, all Cannillo's, who decided that if they were going to bring their distribution business up to the next level, they needed to add to it other popular italian companies that were looking for importers.
