Inalterato il fascino, unica l'atmosfera, un mix perfetto tra tradizione ed innovazione...
nacque nel 1929 dall’idea di Achille Franceschi di ripulire un vecchio capanno sulla spiaggia e dotarlo di un banco bar per servire bevande e pasticcini, un grammofono a manovella per allietare i clienti e tavolini sui quali giocare a carte.
Il locale riscosse un immediato successo e riuscì ad attirare clientela da tutta la penisola, contribuendo in modo determinante all’esplosione di Forte dei Marmi come meta turistica d’élite.
Durante gli anni Trenta era di moda sedersi ad un tavolo de La Capannina al tramonto e sorseggiare un Negroni.
Tra gli astanti si potevano scorgere nobili quali Della Gherardesca, Rucellai, Rospigliosi e Sforza; poeti ed intellettuali del calibro di Repaci, Ungaretti, Montale, Levi e Pea.
A seguito di un incendio tristemente noto, il locale venne ricostruito nel 1939 e da allora la struttura non ha più subito significative modifiche.
