L’Algérino a été produit dans ses débuts par Hafid Fédaouche (HF Production), avec qui il enregistre son premier maxi deux titres : T’sais c’est qui qui cause ? dont l’instrumentale est composé par Soprano des Psy4 De La Rime..
Il est découvert en 2004 par Akhenaton, membre du groupe IAM qui décide de le signer sur son label 361 Records.
C’est ensemble qu’ils sortent son premier album, Les derniers seront les premiers, distribué par Naïve Records.
Le groupe lui offre les premières parties de ces concerts, avec les Psy4 De La Rime..
C’est lors d’un concert à Chambéry où L’Algérino et Sinik se partagent l’affiche que Samir et 609 (producteurs de Sinik) se rencontrent pour la première fois.
Dans les coulisses, s’établit un bon feeling.
C’est à Paris qu’ils se rencontrent à nouveau à plusieurs reprises et envisagent d’avancer ensemble après que Sam a décidé de quitter 361 Records.

Après son premier album Les derniers seront les premiers, L’Algérino sort un deuxième album, Mentalité pirate (2007), qui le fait connaitre grâce aux morceaux L’envie de vaincre, Fleur fanée, Johnny Hama et Entre deux flammes..
Après deux ans de travail, L’Algérino a sorti le 29 mars 2010 son troisième album, intitulé Effet miroir.

En 2011 le single "Avec le sourire" sort et annonce l'album "C'est Correct".
