Hey there, I'm Kristi! I'm a Midwest girl, born and raised.
I love to giggle, believe in soul mates and the theory that everything happens for a reason, am addicted to antiques, Apple products and Nikon gear, love family time and vacations, and find happiness in wearing a great pair of comfy lounge pants and t-shirts! I spend my days being a stay-at-home-mommy to my two beautiful little girls and my new handsome baby boy, and also behind a lens bringing my clients' special moments to life through photography.
Every day the art of photography inspires me! Most days I pinch myself when I wake up to make sure that this is not a dream and that I am lucky enough to get to spend my day doing what I love.
I haven't always been a stay-at-home-mom and photographer.
I have my Bachelors degrees in Social Work with a strong emphasis in photography and graphic design.
I was both educated and self taught in photoshop and digital photography with the contribution of many wonderful people.
For 10 years, I worked as a caseworker in mental health agencies helping mentally ill people achieve their fullest potential and thrive in the community.
I was a social worker by day and a photographer on weekends and evenings.
In 2012, the United States Air Force, my husband's career, moved our family across the country to one of the most beautiful places on Earth, Alaska.
This life-changing move gave me so many wonderful gifts.
Living here, I was able to put my dreams into reality.
I chose to embrace being a stay-at-home-mother as well as a photography career and I am loving every minute of it.
I have been married almost 13 years.
My husband's support has helped shape my photography career.
I am forever thankful for his creativity that he adds to so many of my shoots, including building and painting countless props, playing the assistant role, set up and tear down of shoots, and adding a different perspective when needed.
Our world surrounds our three children.
Their laughter, spunk and personalities fill our life with happiness.
As a photographer, I enjoy creating unique sessions that focus on my clients as well as provide professionalism throughout my client's portrait session experience.
