Detailed description is Koza has been about sharing the authentic love of Christ on Okinawa since the church began in September, 1963.
It was started by the IMB of the Southern Baptist Convention to reach US military and Okinawan families with the message of God's grace.
We hope you experience God’s love through authentic worship at our weekend services, connect with others at our community groups or bible studies and eventually serve in the area where God has gifted you.

What time are services? Koza meets at two locations.
At Koza 224 we worship every Saturday at 6 PM and Sunday at 9 AM and 10:45 AM.
At our new location in Kintown, that we call Koza Kin, we have a Sunday service at 10:45 AM..

What is available for children and students? We have an excellent kid’s experiences at both Koza locations, at all of our service times, for infants through 5th grade.
There is also a bible study class available for 6th through 12th grade during our 9 AM Sunday service.

What should I wear? Koza is a casual environment.
Living on a tropical island, some people that wear shorts and flip flops and others who choose to wear slacks and a nice tie.
Wear what makes you feel comfortable..

Are the services in English or Japanese? Both.
Our pastor communicates in English but we offer "real time" Japanese translation through electronic hearing devices for all services at our Koza 224 location and most events.

What do we believe about missions? Big K-Kingdom - little k-koza" is an axiom we use here because it is our desire to see the Kingdom of God reach to the ends of the earth.
We have teams every year that go out from Koza to other countries like the Philippines, India, Cambodia, Thailand and mainland Japan.
We are also involved in many local ministries here in Okinawa to share the love of God with everyone we can.
