Kookaburra Café is a Paddington Institution which was established and operated by original owners Steve and Liz Hall for 35 years Steve and Liz also operated another restaurant “Witches” for 5 years prior to establishing Kookaburra Café..

In 2017 Steve and Liz retired from the restaurant industry and the iconic Kookaburra Café closed its doors in its original location at the end of January 2017.
But not for long as Pat Vines, who worked as Kookaburra Café’s head chef and Manager for 20 years, joined forces with Debbie Seipel, owner of Club Sosay Board Games Café and Bar and moved the Kookaburra Café just 20 metres down the street to its new location with Club Sosay on the corner of Given and Latrobe Terraces in Paddington..

Also, the popular Catering division of the Kookaburra Café continues to operate under the new ownership from the new location, offering the same wide and diverse selection of catering menus.
