Kona Mermaid School is a school to help us remember “everything a mermaid needs to know.” I say “remember” because unlike most schools, we don’t “teach” anything.
We believe that everyone who comes already knows what it means for them to be a mermaid, and it’s just our job to help them remember.
That means there’s nothing to “learn” and we can relax into the exploration and adventure because being a mermaid is different for everyone and there’s no hierarchy of knowledge.
Each mermaid creates her own curriculum depending on her interests.
Most schools only teach you how to swim in a tail, but we offer much more in a supportive environment.
