Oktober 2007 wurde daraufhin die Kommunale Fachhochschule für Verwaltung in Niedersachsen mit Standort Hannover errichtet.
Bis zur Fusion der kommunalen Studieninstitute in Braunschweig, Hannover und Oldenburg ist das Niedersächsische Studieninstitut Hannover alleiniger Träger der Fachhochschule.
