(The Association of the Persons with Disabilities) We the Persons with Disabilities have established the "KHASI DISABILITIES ASSOCIATION" (the Association of the Persons with Disabilities) Central Body on the 07th May, 2011 with the aspiration of serving the welfare of its kind.
As the Association, we have established this organization with the purpose of serving for the welfare of the disabled persons and to express several grievances from the Government for the attainment of our rights and prevent us in the society as per THE PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) ACT 1995..

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:.

1. To gather all the persons with disabilities belonging from the Khasi community.

2. To help them obtain the Disability Certificates from Government hospitals and be identified in various departments concerned of the Government..
3. To help one another through various ways and means.

4. To work together with various departments of the Government having the similar intention.

5. To motivate/encourage all the persons with disabilities to pursue different educational fields and to be self-employed..
6. To help the Persons with Disabilities to get jobs in different Government Department as per, “The Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995..
7. To help the persons with Disabilities who are oppressed to get justice and respect their Human Rights as per “The Persons with Disabilities ACT, 1995”..
8. To provide Vocational Training in order to enable them to stand on their own feet and various Seminars/workshops that would enlighten them about their rights in the Society and many others..
