Detailed description is Since 1977 I've been designing and building chairs, rockers, stools, small tables, and other furnishings.
I am self-taught and work mainly with hand tools.
out of a small home-based shop in rural west-central Idaho.
My work has been shown at crafts fairs and galleries around the Northwest since the early 1980s.
I'm now semi-retired, and no longer produce rocking chairs.
However I still make hall and side tables of varying design.

I began by making draw-knifed post and rung chairs derived from Shaker designs, and still appreciate the clean lines and simple beauty of their work.
