We provide field services to the unincorporated areas of Bakersfield and Kern County.
Our field staff works to prevent the spread of Rabies through our Rabies Control Program including enforcing the licensing of dogs, and rabies vaccinations for dogs.
Field staff also responds to reports of animal bites and places animals under quarantine when necessary; responds to stray animal calls and attempts to reunite lost pets with their owners through identification to prevent pets from ever entering the shelter.
