Detailed description is Kennett Underground Railroad Center (KURC) educates the public through its exhibits, an URR Heritage Trail Tour, dramatizations, outreach lectures, & local research.
TOURS.
There are several ways to tour the Underground Railroad sites within Kennett Square area, to see historic homes & Quaker Meetinghosues while learning about local abolitionists, African-American and white, between 1830-1865..

1.) There are guided tours in the spring and summer.

2.) Take a self-guided tour.
You can learn about Kennett abolitionists by taking the same route as the guided tours, using an information packet about the abolitionists and where to go to see their houses.
This packet is available for a $10 contribution to KURC at the Chester County Visitor Center at 300 Greenwood Rd, Kennett Square, PA, 19348.

3.) You can arrange a private tour by your car or bus (one seat will be necessary for the guide.) Private tours may be arranged at any time during the year, based upon the availability of the guide.

The bus will pass several original abolitionist houses and provide research-based descriptions of the people who lived there..
