While in a Marriage and Family class in college, we were given twenty minutes to write about our best family memory from childhood, and 98% of the class wrote about a family vacation which I’ve always thought was quite profound! So go ahead – think about it… Are family vacations some of your favorite memories? .

I have been filled with wanderlust since I was a young child, and I’ve been blessed to have visited over half the Unites States and four countries, and I hope to add Italy to my list soon.
Some of my favorite cities are New York City, New Orleans, and Key West, but the list could actually go on and on!.

I have a true passion for travel fueled primarily by my love of history and culture.
I thoroughly enjoy immersing myself in the history of different areas, discovering new things to do and places to see, visiting museums, dining like a local, learning the “lay of the land”, and meeting new people..

My background includes the travel/tourism industry but from the other side since I was the Director of Retail for an art museum for several years and was also the Center Manager for Georgia’s first National Heritage Area.
I loved meeting travelers from all over and sharing my community with them, and now as an Expedia Vacation Consultant I get to share my love of the world with YOU!.

Some people wait to travel thinking “Someday”, but I have always encouraged people to instead think “Today” because there is no time like the present! I am so glad I practiced what I preach because in 2011 my husband suffered a stroke and is now in a wheelchair, but thankfully, we had already taken some of our dream trips.
We have since discovered cruising which is ideal for us, and we definitely recommend it for everyone! .

Cruising is perfect for couples, families, and groups, as well as those with mobility issues, and although it can be confusing to try and decide which cruise line, ship, cabin, and ports, etc., that’s where I come in! I have a true appreciation for cruising since it encompasses most everything one is looking for when on vacation – being pampered, opportunities to stay as busy or relaxed as you desire, planned activities for kids, fun night life, spa time, sightseeing excursions, delicious dining, and totally disconnecting if you choose! What’s not to like?!?.

And although I’m a SC/GA native, I’ve lived in Florida for several years and would love to assist you in experiencing the Florida I know and love! All of the port cities have so much to offer, and I can personally recommend lots to do and see before and after your cruise too! For example, if you’re an art lover you may enjoy leaving from Tampa and adding a few days to explore the Salvador Dali Museum and the Dale Chihuly Collection in nearby St.
Petersburg.
Or perhaps you would enjoy checking out the Everglades by airboat or the nightlife of South Florida.
If so, Fort Lauderdale or Miami would be a great embarkation port for you.
And of course I highly recommend checking out the Keys while there too! Also, my other two favorite cities of New York and New Orleans are awesome embarkation ports as well!.
