Detailed description is We are a family friendly campground, open from April- October.
Off season camping is available upon request.
Reservations: call 812-526-6809.
Visitors camping in Johnson County Park are required to observe the following rules..
.
REGISTRATION AND FEES- All campers must register and pay for a site before setting up camp.
Payments for multiple nights must be kept up to date.
You may be asked to present proof of payment, so please keep payment receipts handy.
Tents will be given a tag that must be tied to the tent or post, displaying proof of payment.
Fees for camping, per night, per unit are $20 for 50-amp, $16 for 30-amp, and $10 per tent.
Additional tents per site are also $10 per night.
No refunds will be given.
Register for camping at the Park Office on North Street or call 812-526-6809.
If the Park Office is closed, you can pay using the office drop box or through an on-duty Camp Host, if available.
Payments made through the drop box are your responsibility.
No arrivals are allowed after 10PM.

RESERVATIONS- The name and information on the reservation MUST match the person staying on the site.
All reservations require payment within 7 days.

LENGTH OF STAY- Campers may stay for 14 days, and then must break camp completely for 7 days before returning.
Tents using electric MUST use designated sites and re-locate after 7nights.
Switching names within the same party to lengthen stay is not allowed.

CHECKING OUT/IN- Check out/in time is 2PM Monday through Saturday, and 5PM on Sundays and holidays..

SITE REGULATIONS- All campsites are to be maintained and kept clean and tidy.
Trash must be disposed of properly in the campground dumpsters.
Gray water must be disposed of at the campground Dump Station.
Fire rings are not to be moved.
Please return picnic tables to their original location if you shift them during your visit.
Any park property that has been damaged or is missing will be the responsibility of you, the registered camper.
ANY items (tents, coolers, etc) left on sites that fall into arrears or left after check out are considered abandoned and will be removed at our discretion..

VEHICLES- RVs and vehicles are to be located on gravel campsite pads and assigned parking only.
No non-operating or unlicensed vehicles are allowed, with the exception of golf carts.
Golf Cart Permits MUST be obtained in the park office before operating them on park property.
Permit fee is $5 per cart and is valid for the entire season.
Permit stickers must be clearly visible on your cart.
Golf carts can only be operated by licensed drivers .Vehicles must obey posted speed limits.
Parking and driving on grass is prohibited.
Please use open concrete areas for overflow parking..

PETS- Pets are welcome, but cannot be left unattended and must be kept on a leash.
If your pet becomes a nuisance or a danger to other pets or campers, Johnson County Park staff will require you to remove your pet from the campgrounds.
Pet waste must be removed before you leave your site.
Any animal left in unsafe conditions will be addressed by Jo.

UNACCOMPANIED MINORS- All campers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, aged 21 and older..

FACILITIES- The bathhouse located near North Street is available for use by both RV and tent campers.
If these facilities need maintenance or attention, please inform the Park Office or a Camp Host, if on duty.
In case of a maintenance emergency, please call our Emergency Pager: 812-375-5041.

QUIET HOURS- All campers must observe quiet hours in the campground from 11PM-6AM.

FIREWOOD- Firewood may be offered for purchase by an approved vendor within the park.
The Park Office may be able to direct you to an appropriate source of firewood.
Wood may not be gathered from the park grounds.
The burning of treated wood, trash, building materials, furniture, or pallets is prohibited at Johnson County Park.
All fires must be contained in designated sites.
If a fire ring is not at your site, please use the existing burn scar.

DISMISSAL FROM CAMPGROUNDS- Failure to comply with the above campground regulations will result in your dismissal from the Johnson County Park campground.
You will be asked to leave immediately and will not be allowed to return as a patron of the campground.
A uniformed officer will issue you a trespass warning if deemed necessary by the Park Superintendent.
