Let's begin with those NEARest to us! Welcome to Jerusalem Sunday 2016! We are so excited to offer our 2nd installment of this remarkable event.
As you may already know, the date is slated for Sunday, September 18th, when we’ll ask our entire membership and guests NOT to come to Church that day – or at least the Church “building.” .

Jerusalem Sunday is a day for our people to learn who their neighbors are, and so we are geographically dividing the entire congregation among our goal of FIFTY host homes.
If you were here 6 years ago, then you already have a pretty good idea of what this is about, but for those of you just joining in, let me fill you in….

On September 18th, we will have prepared everything you need to host between 3 and 6 families in your home on Sunday morning.
There will be NO programming at all at Crosspoint, so we’ll provide you with everything you need to turn your home into a “Worship Center.” You’ll be given a DVD of virtually every element of the Sunday morning worship.
That includes a DVD of the message, communion meditation, offering prayer, and even announcements.
You’ll also receive packets with portable communion cups and bread, sealable envelopes for taking up the offerings, as well as instructions on what to do with those items.

When the Sunday morning worship is finished we hope that each host home will transition into a light lunch and even afternoon entertainment for your closest Crosspoint neighbors.
Of course each guest will be encouraged to provide a dish of some sort as well as provide for possible games that might follow.
We want this to be a time of connecting as well as learning that our JERUSALEM actually starts in our HOMES, not the “Church building” & part of the REACH UP teaching of 2016..
