My name is Kayla and I am here writing because I want to share a very true story with you..
I would like to begin by introducing my step father Frank.
Frank is 37 and at one point in his life so down in the gutter that even I still get goosebumps looking back on how far he has come up in life..
Frank Harris is my dad and I would like to share with you his story and how he got to where he is today..
13years ago exactly, Frank was a drug addict.
He was consistently getting caught up and going to jail and probably ruining someones innocent life(Who really knows.?).
Now for most people, your first thought would be, "He sounds like an awful person" or "How can someone like that own a business.?!.
Well let me first off tell you, Frank is my step father(as I mentioned earlier).
He has been in my life since I was a 10year old little girl and he has changed my life and better yet his own..
Frank met my mom Jeanie, 13years ago at a local bar (before you jump to the judgmental statements please let me finish) where he placed a napkin with his phone number on it on the table she was sitting at and told her, "If you're interested in meeting a good guy, here is my number." All because god told him too..
Now as I am sure you all might think that is so cliche but honestly it was the best thing that has ever happened to my mother and us three kids.

My mom of course called him and she got to know him before she introduced us to him and almost immediately we loved him and of course we were happy for our mom..
I'm not saying it was easy getting used to having Frank around but it got easier.

A few months later Frank got all of us our first house together.
It was so awesome and we had a blast cleaning the place up and making it our home.!.
Frank has a weird sense in picking out the crappiest houses and turning them into a brand new home.
He's always been quite the handyman.
.
To say the least, we've had alot of homes and we have also remodled more than we get credit for.
.
Frank came into our lives not expected to stay but what can I say now that its 13years later and he's still here.? That I am surely grateful.!.
Frank has spent 13years, busting his ass eveeryday to make sure we always had everything we wanted.
I know my $200 dollar shopping sprees were never cheap.! I know it was a struggle always making sure we had a roof over our head and food in our tummies.
I know it wasn't easy but know that I am more thankful today than I ever have been or should have been.
He changed our lives as much as we changed his.! I am proud to say that Frank has been drug free for 13years and he has NOT ever relapsed.
Not even once.

So Frank is not a bad person, yes, hes done some things in this life hes not proud of but so has half the entire world.
It's only human nature to make mistakes but we live and learn from them.!.
I know I mentioned Frank has been in my life for 13years and has also been with my beautiful mother Jeanie for 13years and still as happy as they were when they first met..
They have accomplished more than any couple I have ever known.
They've never given up on each other ever..
Now, before there ever even was a company we as a family were going through some really stressful times.!.
Last October, due to economy going to crap Frank had to leave us to find work.
It didnt even matter what type of work it was, he would do it to support us.!.
But the only downfall was he couldn't support us here in Nevada anymore.
When he left, not knowing where he was going or what he would do, he slept in a tent in the woods for eight months in Washington state..
Now I do have to give the man credit because I don't know anyone else who would suffer that kind of shitty weather for their family.!!.
Within in the first four months he met a lady who had owned the candle business previously for god knows how many years.
Her whole family made candles so you can only imagine how many.! She met frank and I am not even BSing when I say she gave him her business.
She had spent so much of her life making and building a business that she needed time now to just live her life.
So, she open-heartedly gave Frank the candle business.!.
He spent another four months traveling back and fourth to her home learning how to make candles.!.
When he was finally able to come home to us, he brought the candle business.
Got a business license and that is how we became Jeanie's Handmade Candles.!.
And we wouldn't trade it for the world.
In so many ways it has brought us closer as a family and for that I am forever grateful.!.
Don't think for one second though that Frank didnt work his ass off to get to the moment in his life though because by god he did.!.
He has worked his ass off and he deserved ALL of this.!!.

I'm sure you all know now that it was Frank who was blessed with this opporitunity and included us (his family) into the wonderful excitment of his new found business opporitunity as well..
Know that it gives me great pleasure to annouce that we have had the business fot over a year now and we accomplish more and more with it each day..
Today, I am the CEO of Jeanie's Handmade Candles and I couldn't be happier.
We have grown so much into this business that without it we would have nothing.

Well as most people would know, we are a candle company so of course we make candles.
We hand make all of our products and that's not even the best part.! We only use all natural bees wax, soy wax and all esential oils.
So before I get started on telling you about us, let me first tell you about these wonderful products we use for our candles.
I don't know if you're aware of this or not but we use all natural bees wax because well it's natural and because it is great for clearing toxins out of your home.
Not only that but it helps with allergies and asthma and is all around safe for your home.!.
We use soy wax because this product is also very safe.! It is also Eco-friendly, Renewable, Sustainable, American grown and Carbon neutral.! A well-made soy candle will burn cleanly and slowly, much to the delight of our customer's..
Now we use all essential oils because not only do the scents last longer when it's burning, this product is also 100% safe.
It is non-toxic for our body's, our children and even our pets.
It is also Eco-friendly and does no harm to our planet.
Essential oils also have many beneficial uses.! .

As you all know now, My dad actually came across this business and it took awhile to get it up and going but look, we are here still doing it and becoming more knowledgable about it everyday as well.

We make everything from Square to Round pillars, Votives, Glass jar candles, Candle sticks, Melt aways and Tarts..
We have worked hard at perfecting our candles for our customer's and don't get me wrong we haved failed many times along the way but we still push forward and do our best everyday at creating the perfect candles..
We still fail sometimes and that is to be expected but we never stop trying and we most definitely do not give up.

It's been the greatest adventure for us.
We went from having nothing to owning something so extraordinary and it is all because of the hard work, blood and sweat my dad went through to get it.
