Based in beautiful Chilliwack British Columbia Canada, I’ve been working in the Visual Arts field for 18 years providing illustration, photography and design for a diverse clientele.
My career has primarily been engaged in Architectural Visualization through the use of photography, watercolor, pen & ink, digital paint and 3D computer rendering techniques..

I grew up watching my father design all forms of architecture, as he owned and operated the prominent FOCUS Architecture Inc.
Eventually I began to work and study in his office, and while under the tutelage of other high quality illustrators, I learned the art and techniques of traditional architectural illustration.
As time moved forward new technologies gained prominence in the illustration industry which would allow me new ways to produce and display my illustration work.
In 1999 I began to realize that photography was another creative outlet for architectural presentation.
After working for HMC Architects in Los Angeles, I returned home to Chilliwack where I started out on my own, first with West Coast Illustration ( www.westcoastillustration.com ) and then also with Jayson Noftle Photography..

Initially I began experimenting with 35mm slide films and eventually moved toward large & medium format films & cameras, of various makes & models.
I soon found that, even here, technology and the digital age would reach out and have a profound effect on how I would do things in the future.
I thought to myself…”Wow!…this is going to change everything”… So now, as many photographers, including myself, raidly move forward with the latest in digital photography techniques, I find myself occasionally still using large, medium & 35mm format slide film and cameras for some of my work …It certainly takes more time, but I feel it allows for a more close examination of one’s surroundings, as well as more careful image composition… The end result is very satisfying..

While I certainly do love Architecture & Design, I also love the outdoors & nature and once again photography has been another perfect medium to capture what’s out there.
Usually accompanied by my nuclear powered Yellow Lab (Trigger), I spend a lot of time searching for that perfect subject with that perfect light…I’ve not yet found it, but I’ll keep looking and I’ll let you know..
