He also has published stories, poems, and articles in many publications. His edited books include WHERE JOY RESIDES:A CHRISTOPHER ISHERWOOD READER and many others. White produced the film CHRIS AND DON (ZEITGEIST distribution) in 2008. He taught at many universities including UCLA and the University of Texas at Dallas. He organized and directed the Master’s of Professional Writing at the University of Southern California and taught for many years at the University of South Alabama.
