I'm a Mom, a Wife, and I have a passion for any and all things to do with the Arts.

I talk....a LOT.
It's just me, God blessed me with the gift of verbal expression and I use it! LOL! But I promise you will never have an awkward moment of silence when you're with me.

I'm a stay at home mom.
I home school.
And I'm proud to be called a house wife ;) Home is where the heart is <3 .

I'm an only child raised by a single Mom, and somehow as an adult I've found myself surrounded by boys.
I'm definitely out numbered.
Even our furry family member, our German Shepherd Mix named Noah, is male as well.
But I wouldn't change it for the world.
I love my boys and I'm a lucky lady to have them in my life.
My son is my purpose.
The day he was born I knew I had been placed on this earth to be his Mother.
And besides thanking him for giving me a cool name for my photography business, I owe it ALL to my son when it comes my photography career.
Unlike a lot of photographers, I didn't know this was what I wanted to do.
I didn't own my own camera until I got pregnant, and I got a simple point and shoot to take pics of my baby boy.
Well once I got it in my hands I found it was hard to put down..

With social media I was able to share my photos and to my surprise I got a lot of positive feedback.
So in 2008 I decided I wanted to be a photographer professionally.
The first thing I did was apply for an internship with Pure 7 Studios in Destin, FL.
I spent the entire summer of 2008 working under Ryan Manthey, and the experience it gave me was priceless.
I will always be grateful for the opportunity they gave me, and all that I learned during my time working with them.

After months of second shooting I finally started taking on my own sessions.
I was in love instantly! My engagement and wedding photography really took off, and before I knew it I was booking weddings out of state! I believe engagement and wedding photography is my specialty, and where I truly shine.
I guess I just love taking photos of people in love <3 What an honor it has been to capture memories of such a special day for my clients.
With the planning that goes into shooting someone's big day I spend a lot of time talking to Brides before we even meet.
By the big day I usually end up not just being the photographer, but a friend.
Wedding photography is SO important, and does involve a lot of pressure because this is one of the most important days of your life.
But with 22 weddings under my belt now I've got the experience needed to make sure you will have creative and one of a kind photos of your special day.
I take my job very seriously because I know just how precious these photographs are, and will continue to be many years to come.
To think about my clients showing their children and grandchildren those photos one day always makes my heart smile.
It's a great reminder that all the hard work that goes into a wedding is most definitely worth it.

Family portraiture.
Sometimes chaotic, sometimes a little more work, but DEFINITELY worth it all.
These are the photographs that will grace the walls of your home, and then one day be passed down to the generations that follow.
Family portraits are SO important.
As your children grow, and you become older as well, you realize the importance of photographs more and more.
It's always a pleasure for me to come hang with a family on location and just have fun capturing them doing what they do.
Love each other and bond the way only family does.

One thing you need to know about me and my style as a photographer is I don't do a lot of posing.
Honestly I think it makes the photos cheesy.
I like to be a guide, but ultimately I just want to shoot you being yourselves.
I'm very laid back, and I like for my portrait sessions to feel more like a day at the park with a friend, rather than a photo shoot.
I'm very open minded and up for any ideas and input you may have.
When it comes to portrait sessions I'm up for pretty much whatever you want to do.
Location, clothing choices, concepts and creative ideas to make your session unique, these are all your choice.
I am happy to offer advice if it's needed, but I don't think that everyone's gotta match, white shirts and jeans, etc, etc, etc.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
I'm just saying for me, it's not necessary to create some beautiful photos of you and your loved ones.
What I will do though is any and everything I need to do to make you feel comfortable and at ease.
I want you to simply be yourselves.
I want to capture YOU! I want to capture what makes your family unique, what makes your family special, what your family's story is.
Not stiff poses and fake smiles.
I want peace, love and laughing til' you cry.
I want to see your REAL smiles :) .

I've struggled with some personal demons that kept me from doing photography for a few years.
I'm an alcoholic in recovery.
Actually July 17th 2016 was FIVE entire years since I've had a drink.
As wonderful as it is to be in recovery, once I was sober I realized I had other issues that needed to be taken care of besides just addiction.
By the grace of God, I made it through, and I'm back behind the camera again with more passion and inspiration than ever..

I'm up to shoot pretty much anything.
I love conceptual creative projects.
I try to always think outside the box.
I love collaborating with other photographers, models makeup artist, hair stylist, basically anyone in the biz that's up for creating something outside of the box.
