Actualmente es uno de los mejores modelos de Naciones Unidas de México..
Fundado en 1998 por alumnos de diferentes carreras del Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), ITAMMUN es uno de los Modelos de Naciones Unidas más prestigiosos de México y América Latina.
Con 20 ediciones cumplidas, ITAMMUN se organiza anualmente por estudiantes destacados de distintas licenciaturas del ITAM generalmente a principios de otoño.

Dentro de las prestigiosas sedes que ha tenido ITAMMUN, se encuentran la Torre de Tlatelolco, el Campus Río Hondo del ITAM, el Senado de la República y la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores, siendo el único Modelo en el país en tener como sede a la Cancillería de México.
ITAMMUN reúne alrededor de 300 delegados de las mejores universidades y preparatorias de México y América Latina, destacando la participación constante de países como Cuba, El Salvador, Colombia y Venezuela..

En su vigésima edición, ITAMMUN 2017 ha incluido dentro de su Modelo Interno un comité en el idioma alemán, con el fin de promover este gran idioma y encontrar un lugar apropiado para que los estudiantes de nuestra institución que tengan la habilidad de hablar dicho idioma, puedan practicarlo.
