Originally established in 1984 as a technical wing of Sulabh International Social Service Organisation in the name of SIITRAT and later renamed as IAESPH in 2011 for further expansion of sanitation and is engaged in the development of:.

• Research and development of sustainable, appropriate, indigenous, affordable, eco-friendly, and culturally acceptable technologies and their implementation,.
• Construction of toilet complexes and individual’s household toilets and their maintenance,.

• Demonstration and dissemination of information to bring socio-economic reforms,.
