Detailed description is Thanks to the continuing support of the Jacksonville and surrounding communities, the Illinois College Fine Arts Series has achieved a well-deserved reputation as a leader among nonprofit, community-based organizations devoted to outstanding musical and theatrical entertainment.
Today – 33 years after its inaugural season – the campus-based series is fortunate to be part of the Jacksonville community where the fine arts are celebrated and where access to theatrical productions, art exhibitions and concert performances constitutes a rich part of everyday life.
There is an educational component, as well, to the preponderance of arts activities, and students from elementary school through college directly benefit through attendance at plays, workshops, exhibits, concerts and masterclasses.
