Detailed description is iLEAD Scholars is Parlier Unified's premier 7-12th grade honors program created by Mr.
Rafael Iniguez for high-achievers earning a GPA greater than 3.50.
iLEAD Scholars Honors Program is part of Parlier Unified’s new 7th-12th grade honors course pathway designed for high-achieving students who have a desire to become active leaders and advocates in their community and schools.
iLEAD designed to prepare students, in an academic context, for entrance into four-year universities focusing on analytical thinking, reading, and writing, integration of technology, preparation for college entrance and placement exams, college study skills, oral language development, note taking, and research.

Students enrolled in the course are required to complete weekly readings and writings and analytical discourses in all subjects.
Students will participate in college-style study groups for all subjects, will prepare and deliver oral presentations to the class on topics related to career searches, college entrance, contemporary issues, and social concerns, will develop and apply research skills in all formats, all the while focusing on a community service project and culminating digital portfolio..

Additionally, students will be exposed to various career presentations, university campus visits, scholarship opportunities, and will learn about the college and university admissions process.
