Nossa missão é na região entre Altamira e Itaituba, ao longo da BR 230 - Transamazônica.
- A Paróquia Transamazônica, ou Paróquia de Rurópolis - PA, veio para o Pará junto com os colonos migrantes do sul do país.
Muitos destes realocados aqui pelo governo por ocasião da Usina Hidrelétrica de Itaipu.
Foram enviados pastores da IECLB para cá, no intuito de não deixar essas famílias desamparadas espiritualmente.
Infelizmente, o governo não cumpriu com todas as promessas de melhorias para essa região do país.
Este povo ficou esquecido aqui.
Sem ajuda para produzir, sem financiamento, sem possibilidade de compra e venda de produtos, sementes, insumos...
até hoje, persiste essa situação em que as famílias não conseguem se desenvolver e se estabelecer financeiramente.
O pior dos descasos, sem dúvida nenhuma é a rodovia Transamazônica (BR230).
No tempo das chuvas, ela se torna intrafegável em muitos trechos.
No tempo de seca, há muita poeira, caminhões derrapam e não vencem as ladeiras.
Muitos tombam em acidentes que, muitas vezes, terminam em morte.
Um caminhão rodando numa estrada com poeira representa enorme perigo para automóveis menores..

- A vida de fé aqui é muito intensa e com muitas emoções, sentimentos de revolta, desejo por mudança, mas gratidão a Deus por ainda demonstrar como é grande, como é um Deus bondoso e generoso até mesmo onde o ser humano parece ter se eximido da responsabilidade social, política e humanitária..
- Contamos muito com ajuda de fora para podermos continuar existindo.
