القصر الكبير مدينة مغربية، تقع في شمال البلاد على ضفاف نهر لوكوس بين الطريق الواصل بين طنجة والرباط.
وصل عدد سكانها ل 107.380 نسمة سنة2004..

كانت المدينة مستعمرة يونانية قرطاجية وتذهب بعض المراجع إلى أنها كان محتلة من طرف الفينيقيين.
سيطر الرومان لفترة من الزمن على المدينة التي سميت باسم أبيدوم نوفوم وتعني القلعة الجديدة ولا تزال بعض آثار الرومان ومن تلاهم من البيزنطيين باقية فيها إلى اليوم.
أعاد العرب المسلمون تأسيس المدينة في القرن الثامن الميلادي وبنوا فيها مسجدا على أنقاض كنيسة مسيحية مهجورة يعد من أقدم مساجد المغرب العربي..

في العهد المريني حظيت المدينة باهتمام بالغ، حيث أنشئت فيها عدة منشآت علمية منها: المدرسة العينانية، وازدهر فيها العلم، وزارها ابن خلدون.
تشتهر المدينة أكثر ما تشتهر بحدوث معركة القصر الكبير (أو معركة الملوك الثلاث) فيها في 4 أغسطس 1578 م وكانت تلك معركة حاسمة إذ قضت على آمال الصليبيين البرتغاليين في ضم المغرب إلى أراضيهم.
قتل الملك سباستياو البرتغالي وقائد المسلمين في تلك المعركة..

دمرت المدينة في القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي ثم أعيد بنائها في 1912 م أي بعد إنهاء الاحتلال الإسباني للبلاد، انضمت المدينة للمملكة المغربية عام 1956 م..

تقع مدينة القصر الكبير بحوض اللوكوس على ارتفاع ما بين 14 و 20 مترا على مستوى سطح البحر، تحدها شمالا جماعة أولاد اوشيح القروية وغربا جماعة الزوادة القروية، كما تبعد عن مقر العمالة بإقليم العرائش ب 36 كلم.
ويصل معدل الأمطار القصوى المتساقطة سنويا 10099 مم.أما معدل الحرارة القصوى فيصل إلى 35 درجة..

تبلغ مساحة المدار الحضري للجماعة 13.95 كلم مربع، وتفتقر الجماعة إلى تصميم التهيئة ويبلغ طول الطرق 51 كلم..
