SBCC utilizes Relationship-Based Community Organizing to engage, empower and mobilize residents and communities across Los Angeles County.
To date, more than 10,000 individuals have participated in our resident-driven initiatives that promote social connection and civic participation.
SBCC’s approach to RBCO encompasses two components:.

• Resident Driven Civic Engagement.

SBCC’s Resident-Driven Civic Engagement strategy is designed to empower community residents to take collective action in addressing social & public policy issues in their neighborhoods such as voter registration, education reform and neighborhood revitalization.
This strategy is mobilized through SBCC’s “I Heart” initiatives.
Since I Heart Wilmington's inception 5 years ago, “I Heart” has grown into an enduring movement with new initiatives in:.
