Detailed description is Homes of Hope provides transitional (6 month) housing for homeless families through a partnership with other local health, human service and faith organizations Homes of Hope has touched the lives of over 1,000 neighbors without homes since 2005.
Our results have been accomplished by offering the only emergency overnight shelter and transitional housing program in Stanly County.
The Community Inn is the emergency overnight shelter, which offers case management and serves men, women and children; and the Transitional Housing Program, is a six month program for homeless families with children (eight homes in Albemarle).

Community Inn: Open daily at 6pm, the Community Inn provides dinner, showers, sleeping quarters, and a light breakfast before closing at 7am.
The meals served are provided by local churches, civic groups, and individual volunteers.
Staff at the Community Inn attempt to assess each individual’s situation and connect them with resources necessary to help them get re-established.
Resources may include job searching, attaining a suitable housing option, filing a disability claim, arranging entry into a rehabilitation program, mental/physical health assistance, or additional education needs.

The Transitional Housing Program increases the likelihood that families experiencing homeless will be able to sustain self-sufficiency within a community once they have taken the time to address barriers and acquire new skills in a safe, supportive environment.
