The fifth annual Holiday Valley Mudslide is a mudrun that's FUN.
Yes, you'll get muddy, yes there is running, yes there are 11 obstacles but NO fire, NO barbed wire and NO electric shocks! The 3.5 mile course starts at the top of the mountain at Spruce Lake (we'll even give you a ride up on a chairlift) and runs along the ridgeline then down the hill.
The 5.4 mile course adds a bit of uphill running, just in case you're feeling especially tough.

There is a max of 1200 competitors.

The Pre-registration entry fee for the 3.5 OR the 5.4 mile run is $50 from October 1 through November 30, then $60 through June 16, 2016.
All competitors will receive a goody bag and a super cool finisher's medal plus a hot dog and 2 beers (or beverages).
Children as young as 7 years old can run on the 3.5 mile course, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
The Kids' Race is $5 (up to age 12), register for kids at the Yodeler Deck.

The Friday night packet pickup is from 5PM to 8PM at the Overlook Terrace by the pools.

Saturday packet pickup is from 8AM to 11AM at the Yodeler Lodge.

Course Route.
.
The event will start in waves of 100 people per wave at 10AM from Spruce Lake, beginning with the long course runners.
A ride to the start on the Spruce Lake chairlift is included in the entry fee.
Please allow 45 minutes to get from the base to the starting line at Spruce Lake! Spectators may ride for $5.

The 3.5 mile course goes from Spruce Lake, across the cross country trails to the top of Eagle, down Woodstock, across Explorer to Morning Star then through the woods and across Mardi Gras, down Holiday Run to Edelweiss and finish at the Training Center.
The short course elevation has a drop of 600 feet - downhill! The 5.4 mile course adds a loop from Eagle across to Cindy's, down a logging road to lower Bear Cub and back uphill to Explorer.
This section is so steep we've installed ropes to help you scramble up! You'll navigate eleven obstacles along the trail and the final challenge is a giant mud slide down lower Yodeler.
Your medal will be awarded at the finish line.
Prizes will also be awarded to the overall 3 fastest males and females.
Chip Timing and mat starts and finishes will be in place.

The Kids' MiniMudslide course is 1/2 mile long and will include several obstacles plus the mudslide.
Start and finish is at the Training Center.
The miniMudslide takes place at approximately 1:30.

After your run you can shower under the snowguns and changing facilities will be available.

The Post Race Party!.
.
Tunes, games and plenty of liquid refreshments will be at the post race party on the Champagne Sundeck, just outside the Yodeler Lodge.
The Vendor Village will have several local shops and related booths.
Starting at 11:30, competitors will receive a free hot dog and 2 beverages.
Friends and family are welcome to purchase food and beverages and join in the fun.
A DJ will keep the party goin' on.
Bring your (friendly) dogs, frisbees, hula hoops and smiles..
