ABOUT MAYOLI.
We are a farm located in the Kumaon region of the Himalayas (1800 m a.s.l), founded to return biodiversity, traditional farming methods, traditional knowledge and local flora and fauna to the area.
At the border of Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary nature creates a bowl.
A 3-hectare farm land surrounded by Himalayan hills.
This place is called Mayoli.
One has to travel about 30 km north of the Almora town in Uttarakhand to reach Basouli.
From Basouli it is nearly 2.8 KM trek to reach Mayoli.
Almora is 360 KM from Delhi by road and it takes 8 hours to reach there. .
At Mayoli Himalayan Ethno Botanic Garden Society is developing an organic farm and Seed Bank.
This solar powered place has two fish pounds, poultry and one goat farm.
The idea is to develop this farm as self-sustaining farm..

ACCOMMODATION.
The Area is a large one by its own.
It is a part of the Binsar Wildlife Park.
The place offers varying types of accommodation to its guests.
Three cottages are there that can accommodate up to 6 adults at a time.
These Cottages have an attached toilet with them with running water.
Bedding is provided for a Comfortable night’s sleep.
Tents are also in.

KITCHEN.
There is a main cottage/hut that offers an area for gatherings.
It houses a kitchen where the food is cooked with firewood..

A set of two areas has been allotted to arrange bonfires.
