Website http://www.hendersonhummingbirdhurrah.com Produced by Henderson Feathers and sponsored by Minnesota River Valley Audubon Chapter, the Henderson Hummingbird Hurrah is a one day annual birding festival offering opportunities such as: learning about the amazing little birds, attracting them, keeping them happy and much more.
A licensed hummingbird bander will catch and band birds, allowing you to see them up close and learn about hummingbird research.
There will also be a garden tour, speakers, book signing sessions, a Hummingbird Mall, and children’s activities – all FREE!.
Added in 2016...Painting with local artist, Lana Beck! Lana had 2 painting sessions, fee included all the supplies, step by step lesson & they went home with a beautiful 8x10" hummingbird painting! Lana will be back in 2017.
:) Hummingbird banding will again be featured with Donald Mitchell, Al Batt - humorist & author will be one of our speakers, garden tours, educational booths, vendor mall, children's activities.
raffle prizes and more......We greatly appreciate anyone wishing to donate or become a volunteer for the event and/or the garden.
