BIOGRAPHY.
Heidi Lee Warta is of European decent, born in Mona Vale Hospital and lives on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney.
Her work captures life force energy and passionate vibrancy.
The use of bold textures and vivid colours blended together open a unique poetic vein, urging us to renegotiate painting.
Her work has style and depth and a sense of heartfelt emotion.
Heidi’s more recent work is deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted..

In 2011 Heidi painted with the beautiful children of YPAC disabled orphanage in Indonesia for an intense 18 week period donating her time and materials.
All of the paintings completed for and with the children were auctioned for $10,000AUD and donated to the YPAC Orphanage.
This experience has been a profound turning point in Heidi’s life..

In 2013 Heidi Lee was commissioned to paint an art work of Gina Rinehart and her late father Lang Hancock on their property in the Pilbra (Western Australia).
Heidi presented this piece of art to Gina Rinehart at the “Annual Mining Awards” and was also mentioned in the Australian Financial Review..

Having had several solo exhibitions and several pieces hung and sold successfully in a mix of eclectic exhibitions, boutiques & cafes throughout Sydney, Bali, Thailand & California, Heidi Lee is ready to further extend her career..

Favourite methods used: Mixed media, fabric, plastic, metal, cardboard, glue, impasto, acrylic, oil, pigment, sand, oil, house paints, wax and fire.
Working multi layers giving depth & texture infusing wonderment and confusion leaving the viewer asking….

Currently Heidi is working for Respite Services teaching art to carer’s of children with schizophrenia in Manly.
She teaches adults and children’s art classes on Wednesday evenings and Thursday afternoons and holds nude life drawing evenings once a month all at her studio in Collaroy Plateau.
Heidi also sells her art works through Drift Homeware’s in Collaroy and paints custom pieces to order from her studio.
Her printed works are numbered, signed and come with a certificate of authenticity..
