Detailed description is Hatta liegt im Hadschar-Gebirge in einer Exklave des Emirats Dubai, an der Grenze zum Oman und befindet sich ca.
100 km südöstlich von Dubai-Stadt.Hatta erstreckt sich weit auseinandergezogen in der Ebene bis in die Hänge des Hadschar.
Durch die Höhenlage bedingt herrscht in Hatta ein milderes Klima als in Dubai.
Der alte Teil der Stadt wurde für den Tourismus rekonstruiert; Mittelpunkt ist ein Fort aus dem 18.
Jahrhundert.
Hier befindet sich auch das Hatta Fort Hotel.
In der Nähe liegt ein künstlich aufgestauter See.In Hatta gibt es drei Scheichpaläste, sieben Moscheen, drei Schulen, zwei Polizeistationen, zwei Kliniken, zwei Tankstellen, zwei Banken, eine Post, eine Feuerwehrstation, Gebäude der Stadtverwaltung, eine öffentliche Bibliothek, einen Funkturm und einen Fußballplatz.
Etwas höher auf einer Anhöhe befindet sich das alte Dorf Hatta.
Überragt wird es durch das Hatta Fort mit zwei mächtigen Wachtürmen aus dem 18.
Jahrhundert.
Hier im alten Dorf befindet sich ebenfalls die 1780 erbaute Juma-Moschee, das älteste Gebäude von Hatta, sowie etwa 30 Lehmhäuser.
Alle Gebäude sind als sogenanntes Heritage Village rekonstruiert, in dem Szenen aus dem historischen Alltag gezeigt werden und sind der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich.
