Haraz is a married father of two with more than 16 years of military service who has always looked to the future with service to others being his main goal.
He began that service as an Eagle Scout and kept an eye toward his pursuit of service by focusing on his education.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Journalism, graduating Cum Laude in 2004, and went on to graduate with distinction from the United States Naval War College’s Command and Staff Program in 2016.

Haraz’s extensive military service includes being a Navy veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Inherent Resolve, and an Army veteran of Operation Joint Forge in Bosnia.
Currently serving as a commissioned military officer in the United States Navy Reserve, he has always worked toward positive results and will be a trusted public servant for his constituents..
