Hi, I’m Amanda.
I’m a qualified personal trainer and nutrition consultant based in Auckland, NZ.
My mission is to get people back in touch with what their gut feeling is telling them with regards to their health and wellbeing..

I have been in the fitness industry for many years now – but it was only recently that I realised how some of the so called ‘healthy’ things I was doing were in fact not healthy at all.
I was eating what I thought was a healthy diet, I was busy at work, busy outside of work and I was training hard on a regular basis.
After all – no pain no gain.
Right? Go hard or go home.

BUT.
Here’s the kicker.
I was tired.
All the time.
I was ‘needing’ caffeine and sugar to pick me up far more regularly than I liked to admit.
I was constantly injured.
I was constantly bloated.
And I still had wobbly bits I wasn’t so keen on – especially around my midsection – despite eating reasonably well and training regularly.
I had an inkling (a gut feeling if you will..) that something wasn’t right.

So I did some more study.
And found out something liberating.
I did not need to go hard.
I needed to go home.
I needed to reassess my lifestyle, and follow my gut (after I had healed it!) to a happier, calmer and – most surprisingly for me – a leaner, more energised existence!.

And that is how gut feeling was born.
Oh – and my son.
Which is what I wanted most of all :).
