Detailed description is Guilford College has long been committed to sustainable practices on the campus and has pursued a commitment to environmental responsibility.
The college seeks to provide an education combining the liberal arts, work, and service with a strong commitment to environmental responsibility and cross-cultural understanding in a setting that promotes wisdom, social awareness, and contribution to the common good.
Due to Guilford College's awareness and commitments we have been award a state grant to conduct an energy audit of the entire campus.
Four team members and a student intern will be entering every building and conducting these audits looking for a variety of ways to save energy and reduce costs.
This is a very exciting opportunity that Guilford College has received and the next goal after the audits have been conducted are to solve issues that have been addressed and change inefficient systems.
