O Grupo de Teatro Dona-Tea é fruto das oficinas de teatro oferecidas na Aec-Tea associação e ponto de cultura.
Desde março de 2014, quando nos solidificamos enquanto grupo de teatro, temos nos esforçado para formar opiniões críticas através de nossos espetáculos, oficinas e etc., conquistar um público, e, é claro, ganhar o reconhecimento merecido por resistir enquanto grupo artístico numa cidade do interior do Sertão Baiano.
Nosso foco é trabalhar principalmente com temáticas sertanejas, que, por vezes são representadas de forma estereotipada e sob uma ótica engessada construída ao longo do tempo.
Sendo assim, temos a missão e compromisso de tentar desmistificar, através do teatro, algumas ideias ultrapassadas à respeito do nosso lugar de pertencimento, ou seja, o Sertão Nordestino, na tentativa de levar ao espectador um uma nova leitura ou pelo menos uma leitura diferente do que estamos acostumados ver/ouvir.
