O grupo tem atuado em todo o Brasil.

O Grupo Caminhos do Sertão de Cordisburgo tem como principal objetivo mostrar aos interessados os lugares reais que Guimarães Rosa se inspirou para escrever sua obra através de caminhadas eco-literárias.
É formado por ex integrantes do grupo Miguilim, por músicos e estudiosos da obra, sendo todos os componentes, pessoas comunidade de Cordisburgo.
Geralmente estas caminhadas têm o percurso em torno de 4 km por fazendas da região.
Durante esse caminho são narrados trechos da obra Roseana que acabam levando as pessoas se transportarem para o cenário real das estórias de Guimarães Rosa em sua terra natal.
A caminhada teve inicio em 1998 e partir daí o numero de participantes têm aumentado consideravelmente com a participação de universitários, professores, estudantes em geral e demais admiradores da obra.
Outro objetivo desse grupo é que a caminhada aconteça em todo sertão de Guimarães Rosa.
O nome do Grupo que organiza este evento é Grupo Caminhos do Sertão.
Este nome se deu devido ao fato deste grupo passar a ser convidado para fazer Caminhadas Eco-literárias em outros vários lugares fora de Cordisburgo.
Segundo Guimarães Rosa; “o sertão é o mundo” e partindo desta idéia levamos o sertão mundo afora.
Fica claro também o quê esse trabalho manifesta nas pessoas, conscientizando as mesmas da importância da conservação da região: cerrado, campos, chapadas, veredas e rios através dos textos especialmente selecionados e narrados pelo o Grupo Caminhos do Sertão.
Fazem parte dos trabalhos deste também: apresentações teatrais inspirados na obra Roseana e narrações de estórias.
São parceiros e incentivadores deste Grupo: o Museu Casa Guimarães Rosa, local onde o escritor nasceu, o IEF e a Associação dos Amigos do Museu Casa Guimarães Rosa em Cordisburgo.
