Not only do we miss the fresh taste, we are also not certain about the level of chemicals or type of chemicals that may have been used to grow these vegetables.
In short, as consumers we have no idea about how healthy (or unhealthy) our “fresh looking” vegetables are? And as farmers, since our produce is perishable, we have no control over the price we command over our produce.
