When designer Jeanine Devlin, saw the cottage on 334 Grand Avenue come up for sale, she saw an opportunity to bring several of her passions together in one "sweet spot"..

Formerly the "Galaxy Bike Shop" and formerly-formerly, the "Tea Cottage", the late 1800's home was in need of repairs and renovation.
Having designed several renovations of homes and businesses in Paonia, Jeanine was up for the challenge of renovating the old cottage....this time for herself..

The challenge was to update and open up the cottage interior without sacrificing the special touch age puts on an old home.
The renovation took 9 months and then came the challenge of bringing back a once lovely garden.

"The garden wants to be here.", says Jeanine.

Having set aside pathways for foot traffic, the untrampled areas began to grow and fill in enthusiastically.....so did the weeds....buckets and buckets of weeds.
Slowly, the beauty returns.
Through a process of naturalization the garden will become more lovely every year..

Having designed and renovated the interior, painted the exterior her two favorite colors, green and black, and made headway in the garden, it was time to develop the missing element of her business and lifestyle....the shop..

Always a lover of architecture and furniture, Jeanine has offered her clients an eclectic mix of old and new home furnishings, decor and architectural elements tailored to their personal style.
This time she wanted to display her collection in the beauty of the newly renovated Green Cottage and it's garden and open her doors to the public..

The shop sells a mix of one of a kind pieces by local craftsman, antique, vintage, new, salvaged, consigned, industrial, modern, and rustic pieces for home and garden.
Not only furniture but, serving pieces, rugs, housekeeping wares....pretty much anything that appeals to Jeanine's love of design mixed with function..

"It's really a perfect fit for me.
I love to work on furniture and I love to garden.

Shop hours are 10am to 4pm.
Closed Wednesday and Sunday..
