About my artistic background: .
At the beginning of 1994 was formed in Bogota, Colombia an independent company called "Teatro de titeres Saltamontes" (Grasshopper puppet theater).
GRASSHOPPER moved to the United States in 1998 according with the studies in the unique Puppetry Arts Program at the university of Connecticut.
Puppetry workshops and performances have been offered throughout Connecticut and New England since then..
In 1999 Oswaldo Tirano was hired by Arts in Motion dance studio as a Latin dance instructor, a cultural skill he learned as part of his heritage.
He has studied theater, puppetry, dance and voice at the national university of Colombia (1989 - 1994) and national school of dramatic arts (1996 - 1998) in Bogota, Colombia.

This is his eighteenth year teaching Latin dance and puppetry for all ages in several dance studios, colleges, public schools and community centers throughout Connecticut, such as Arts in motion and Arts of the Capitol Theater in Willimantic, Manchester Community College, Eastern Connecticut State University, Universtiy of Connecticut, Mansfield Community Center, among others.
His passion for art and movement led him to create Grass Hopper Arts & Dance Studio.
Currently he is the director and he offers Latin dance lessons, puppetry workshops, and performances in area schools, universities and cultural centers..
