Detailed description is My gourd art work is self taught starting in the early 90's when I grew my first gourds in Northern CA.
I have found that CA has the perfect seasons for growing gourds.
I use a razor tip burner to burn a pattern on the gourd.
I then use mostly alcohol ink for color and brush on a clear gloss to seal the gourd..
To sum up: MERAKI (v) to do something with soul, creativity, or love; when you leave a piece of yourself in your work.
