My name is Alison Philp and I live in the beautiful Cowichan Valley where over the past 12 years I have co-owned a lavender farm and then worked at a certified organic herb farm.
During that time I developed recipes for a large variety of health and body care products.
In the Spring of 2016 it struck me that you don't need to own or work on a farm to make nice plant based products because wild plants often have better healing properties than the plants we cultivate and are readily available throughout the area.
The Going Wild business came into being quite organically, it hadn't been my intention to start a business when I made the first product:.

Face Cream - I developed this cream for myself because I was getting some sun damage and aging related issues on my face which inspired me to research and develop a healing face cream.
I made a batch and started using it myself and seeing results.
Family and friends were using it and also seeing great results for all kinds of skin conditions.
I started doing some markets and getting a lot more good feedback.

The full list of ingredients in the Face Cream are: .
Distilled water, hemp seed oil, coconut oil, olive oil, grape seed oil, beeswax, cannabis, horsetail fern, calendula, chickweed, burdock root, yellow dock root, self-heal & lavender essential oil.

Body Lotion - People were having such good results with the Face Cream I developed a Body Lotion using the same plants, because you don't only get skin problems on your face :-) Same ingredients just more liquid.
(135ml bottle $15).

Sunscreen Lotion - I also developed an all-natural sunscreen lotion because I wouldn't wear the commercially produced products as they are full of nasty chemicals.
As a test I asked four friends to use it when we went out on a boat trip on a hot sunny day.
We were out for about 3 hours in the middle of the day and nobody got burned and everyone said their skin felt great.
