He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1999.
While attending UNL he worked at BryanLGH Medical Center East as a physical therapy technician on an orthopedic floor for 3 years where he gained experience in patient care and more importantly working with patients who were experiencing intense pain.

Being on a team taught her skills that not only dealt with working as a member and leader of a team, but also on budgeting time between school and soccer.
