Immediately, Randy began photographing wedddings with his uncle.
He also had his own darkroom, was on the Plymouth High School yearbook staff for three years and worked for the newspaper..

After graduation he ran a professioinal black and white printing lab in Novi until he received an exciting opportunity from Jervis B.
Webb Corp.
There he learned world class lighting techniques and traveled throughout the U.S.A., Canada and Mexico..
In 1982, Randy decided it was time to open his own photography studio.
Thus, G.M.D.
Photography was born in Howell, Michigan.
Since then, Randy has studied with world reknown photographers like Al Gilbert, Don Blair, Monte Zuker and many other prominent photographers.
He became certified from the Professional Photographers of America in 2001 with scores in the top ten percent of his class.
He also received the very presitgious Master’s degree that very same year..
