GNR, as it is called, began in 2014 at the University of Salford in Manchester, England..

The theme for this year’s newscast is Solutions Journalism with stories being produced by journalism students from universities in the US, UK, India, UAE, Bulgaria, Egypt, Indonesia, Lebanon, Germany, China, Japan, and Mexico.
