Books & Birds was a destination used & rare book store in Manchester for more than 20 years, Now closed, its entire inventory is for sale.
There are approximately 40,000 books, many unseen since I bought them (as far back as 1980 - they got buried under more recent purchases.) .

When I closed the shop, I sold about 40,000 books during my going-out-of-business sale.
I donated another 60,000 books to a group starting libraries in Kenya.

That left me with 40,000 unknown books in boxes which I had stored for 5 to 30 years.

I know they were good enough for me to buy, but they never made it onto my shelves because newer book buys ended up on top of them.
They're from estates, library and moving sales, drop-offs at the store - some pretty common, and many truly collectible..

I'm sorting the books by subject now, with the better books being readied for viewing by book dealers, auctioneers, or others who may be interested in possible large purchases.
