Il tombe directement sous le charme valaisan et décide de s’installer dans cette ville pour travailler pendant 4 ans dans un magasin de la place.
Après une recherche de financement, il ouvre son magasin en décembre 1969 à la route de Sion 4 à Sierre..
En août 1996, son fils Alain vient le rejoindre après avoir effectué son apprentissage d’horloger rhabilleur durant 4 ans à l’Ecole d’horlogerie du Technicum de la Chaux-de-Fonds..
