Coach Moeller is a native of Mesa, Arizona, and played at Penn State Altoona (Div III) and finished his college career at Pennsylvania State University (Div I), where he was truly a utility player, learning virtually every position.
(SP, RP, C, 3B & SS) He was a well-used bullpen catcher..

After his playing days were over, Moeller was a baseball coach for Yorktown High School in Arlington, Virginia, from 1999-2004, where he compiled a 85-48 record, 3 District titles, 4 District Tournament titles and had 5 teams which qualified for the state tournament..

After the 2004 season, Moeller left coaching the mechanics of baseball and focused on the mental and spiritual side.

From 2005-2007, Jon was the chapel leader for the Washington Nationals and the Frederick Keys (High-A Baltimore Orioles).
Jon has been the chapel leader for the Sioux City Explorers since 2008.
