This is how all our puppies are raised.

Before covering (mating) the mother would have received her booster vaccine as well as a series of dewormers to ensure healthy puppies (round worm eggs can be passed through the mother’s milk and onto the puppies) .

0-3 weeks .
From day 1, the puppies are cuddled and handled introducing new smells from an early age.
At the age of just 2 weeks, puppies would have been dewormed.
We also start the basics of paper training.
By 3 weeks they should know not to mess in their bed.

4-5 weeks .
At 4 weeks they would of received their PARVO vaccination (very important) as well as a different type of dewormer ( worms become immune to one type of dewormer ).

The puppies start with solid food at the age of 4 weeks depending on litter size (larger litter earlier age ) .We also give them a probiotic with their food as their tummys are very sensitive at this age.
They have more control over their bladders and bowel movements and will use the newspaper next to their whelping box.
We also call them outside after naps and meals encouraging them to go on the grass.
( The puppies have constant access to the grass as well as the house, giving them maximum socializing opportunities .
6-8 weeks .
At 8 weeks old they receive their 1 st Vaccine for distemper as well as their 3 rd dewormer.
They will be improving with their house training and by the time they go to their new homes, they are about 90 % house trained/pad trained ( again season depending) .
They will still have accidents from time to time but the basic concept is there.
The puppies go home with their own blanket which smells like their mother and litter mates, this will help with the emotional transition to their new home .
All my puppies are micro-chipped before he leaves at the age of 8 weeks.
