The Lodge is the vision of Jo Holding, an amazing lady who has worked tirelessly in the community as a volunteer, running Cancer Council support groups, ferrying patients to appointments, and raising funds for local worthy causes..

Jo contacted Genesis CancerCare for assistance to turn her dream into reality.
With the help of some amazing people and generous businesses, Genesis CancerCare helped to bring the Lodge to life.

The Lodge has four boutique guest rooms, each accommodating two people, enabling a family member or carer to stay with the patient, if desired.
For the tranquillity of all guests, the Lodge does not accept children under 12 years of age..

Two twin rooms (2 x king single beds).
One king room (1 x king size bed).
All rooms have individual balconies facing the sand dunes with ocean glimpses..

Ground level: .
- One disabled room (2 x king single beds).

Each room is equipped with:.
- Ensuite bathroom .
- TV with Foxtel and DVD player.
- Bar fridge.
- Tea & coffee making facilities.
- Split-system air-conditioning.
- Towels and bed linen .

A communal kitchen with all modern appliances, a comfortable lounge/dining room and an outdoor terrace is available for guest use.

The Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS) subsidy fully covers the cost of accommodation for eligible patients and their carer.
There are no additional out-of-pocket accommodation expenses - it is free..

The Lodge accepts all PATS eligible patients, whether they have cancer or are being treated for another condition at any hospital.
Priority is given to patients undergoing treatment at a Genesis CancerCare facility.

Shenton House in Joondalup is Genesis CancerCare's closest treatment facility to the Lodge.
It offers both medical oncology and radiation oncology, as well as an onsite cancer specific exercise clinic in partnership with Edith Cowan University's Health and Wellness Institute.
